Duration: 1 – 3 months

Background: A new project that is currently in its infancy is to build and set up a new pre-school on Mannar Island near the Donkey Clinic. Initial designs have been drafted and we are currently starting a fundraising campaign to raise money for construction. 

Role: We are looking for volunteers with some construction or engineering experience to assist with project management of a contractor.

• Oversight and supervision
• Building a good relationship with the contractor and stakeholders
• Quality inspections
• Monitoring construction with photos/ videos
• Raising concerns with Bridging Lanka management if the construction is not as per design or quality standards
• Assisting with day to day issues such as staffing, materials, weather.
• Commercial control and management/ recording/ reporting of costs and expenses.
