Background: In Mannar systems approaches and administrative skills are minimal. The younger staff at Bridging Lanka require ‘hand holding’ as they develop the administrative skills necessary for the planning, implementation and evaluation of essential programs and activities.
Role: Work with the executive director and office staff to develop a broad range of administrative skills focused on organising and maintaining an efficient office. These duties encompass scheduling, communication, record-keeping, and other essential functions that support the smooth operation of the Bridging Lanka workplace.
- Organise meetings, appointments and events
- Develop effective communication skills to answer phones, respond to emails, and handle correspondence
- Maintain physical and digital files, update databases, and ensure accurate record-keeping
- Input and manage data in various formats inc spreadsheets and databases
- Assist with accounting tasks, processing invoices and payments and preparing financial reports
- Assist with project planning, scheduling, monitoring and coordinating with other departments
- Assist with various office tasks inc photocopying, printing, organising meetings
